I cried when watching the movie. Almost none of the characters fit their book descriptions. You would think that looking at a lot of other book based movies that are a hit and very accurate, that they could of at least slap a wig onto some of those actors and actresses.
I shall now shamelessly annoucne my amibtion of life to the world: Remake the Eragon movie and I shall do it properly! This might involve a butt ton of brown nosing Studio Ghibli if it's still around when I finish College.
i really couldnt care less about his hair color. I hate it when i go to a person and say "hey did u like the movie" and there like "no eragon was blond so i hate it" really? ur going to hate a movie just becuz the actors didnt look like they did in the book? i bet if a person made a movie that was exactly like the book people would hate it too. Eragon was filled with a lot of good graphics and scenery. did u ever think that maybe they didnt want to spend any extra money on stupid things!!!! enjoy the movie not the actors!
So I do and this is aided by the fact that I canīt remeber a discription of his hair in the German books (and I read them because Iīm German logical, or?), so as a result I also picture him light-haired maybe blonde or light brown. I have to admit, that I prefer him this way than with dark hair, donīt know but it fits better.
so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so true. My brother and I reckon that the person who made the movie of Eragon hadn't read the book-they got a three year old to jump to random pages and write the script from that. The only character they got right was Brom-I'm not sure how they screwed up Ayra.
agreed, in fact the only two characters i thought they DIDN'T butcher with the casting were Murtagh and Brom (I know Brom was described as looking different in the books, but Jeremy Irons did a fairly decent job, which was brilliant in comparison to the other characters)
LOL complain about Eragon? Sure he looked like a pansy, but Arya looked like a ginger! D: Black hair and green eyes? Apparently that translates to strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes and freckles. Oh and Arya was never a princess. Her mother was a queen, but that does not make her a princess to the elves.
She used to be princess, that's true. But she even tells Eragon that's not how it works with the elves. They don't follow blood lines. They choose on who they want to be their successor. Even if Arya hadn't become ambassador, they would still vote.

AARGH. SO RIGHT. The film was awful. I picture Eragon like he was described, screw whatever the movie says. And for some reason I think of Roran with blue hair and a ponytail, but that's my own problem.

THANK YOU. The whole movie sucked... Arya has BLACK hair and she has POINTY ears and in the movie she didn't mention ONCE that she was an elf. If she had been awake when she was in the movie, she could have saved brom. I can't remember that much of it but I'm pretty sure there was more to what they put in about Eragon discovering that he was a rider. SAPHIRA GREW UP LIKE A NORMAL DRAGON!!!! Where in the book does it say she did that fly away- come back grown up thing???? there was NO indication of the dream at the end of the book, leaving NO room whatsoever for them to ATTEMPT a sequel! AND I"M PRETTY FRIGGIN SURE THAT ARYA WASN"T A FLIRTATIOUS LITTLE PRINCESS THAT ACTED LIKE A TEENAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and arya is not a redhead. they make a big deal that she has black hair. and did anyone else notice that her ears were just normal human ears? they were not pointed at all D: really? thats the best they could do?
